Christopher Robinson, 34, of Columbia died Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at 5th St. Christian Church. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM Friday at the church.
He was born November 9, 1974 in Columbia.
Survivors include his step-parents Evelyn and Dennis Paige, 3 brothers Rodney and Harold Washington and Randall Jordan, 4 sisters Tonya and Kim Washington, Jacqueline Rogers and Francine Robinson, 3 sons Tinek, Timitri and Christopher Robinson Jr. and one daughter Na’Quelle Evans

Helen M. Hudson, 84, passed away Tuesday , August 25, at Fairview Nursing home.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
She was born August 22, 1925 in St. Louis, the daughter of James and Effie M. Dickson.
Helen was educated in St. Louis at Lincoln Elementary School, Vashon High School and Stowe Teachers College.
Before her illness she was active in first Presbyterian Church of Chicago. Helen was retired from Bell Telephone Co.
Survivors include two sisters Geraldine P. Ford of Sedalia, and Anna Mae Hudson of St. Louis.

Rickey R. Bifford, II, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 in Tampa, Fl. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August, 29, 2009 at Second Baptist Church in Columbia. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will b from 6-8 PM Friday at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home, 2207 Holly Ave. and from 9-10 AM Saturday at the church.
Rickey was born in Dallas, Tx., the son of Rickey R. Bifford and Toni Jones Glasgow.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother Toni(Shannon) Glasgow, his father Rickey R. Bifford, three brothers Preston X. Glasgow, Ryan L. Glasgow and Michael A. GLasgow and one sister Eboni N. Bifford.

Sha’Kara Hayes, 16, of Columbia, died Sunday August 16, 2009 at Children’s Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Progressive Baptist Church. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Sha’Kara was born August 21, 1992 in Columbia the daughter of Shelia Johnson and Jeffery Hayes. She was a student at Hickman High School. She was a member of the Progressive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother and father, five brothers, Patrick Hunt and Jordan Elam both of Columbia, Jayden Hayes, Sa’Von Hayes and Blair Hayes all of Kansas City, Mo., one step-brother Jay Murray of Columbia, two sisters Demetria Waller and Dilisha Waller both of Columbia, grandparents Allean Johnson and Janice Hayes both of Columbia.

Clifton Woods was born May 16, 1926 in Columbia the son of Harry and Sally Edwards Woods Sr.
Survivors include 2 sons Clifton Woods Jr. and Jamie Smith 1 brother Harry Woods Jr., and 2 sisters Bernice Jenkins and Betty Okomoto.
Vera M. Gordon

On March 27, 1929 In Wardell , MO., an angel (Vera M. Gordon) was born to the proud parents of Dock and Jennie Mae Wheeler. They later moved to Charleston, Mo. with four other children, brother Robert Lee Wheeler(deceased) Three sisters Haughty Bell Henderson(recently deceased) H. Catherine Henderson( Columbia, Mo. and Ann Wheeler died at an early age.
Vera was united in Holy Matrimony on February 13, 1947 to Edward Charles(EC) Gordon, but shortly after he was called home to rest.
In 1953 Vera moved from Charleston to Texas. There she completed her high school education and secretary training. She was employed at Tyler Piper refinery. In Tyler Texas as a core machine operator and a part time insurance agent for 30 years. She was a faithful member and secretary for True Vine Baptist Church in Tyler texas, retiring in 2001.
In 2004 she decided to move to Columbia, MO to be close to her family. On August 9, 2009 she was called home to join her loved ones, including three other that impacted her life: Milton, William and Faye. She will truly, truly be missed by those she left behind, Sister (Cat) nephews Robert Lewis(Boy) Robert Jr. (Cadance, Buffalo, NY.. Jeannette (Sevand) and Angelene(Spoiled Ann) and many great, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tony Was born November 26, 1957 in Columbia the son of John Freelon and Anna Lee Tucker.
He was a member of All People’s Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Ebony Nicole Tucker.

Kimberly Renee Wright passed away August 7, 2009, at her home. Kimberly was born August 12, 1972 to Charles and Ruth Ann Kelly. Kimberly was the youngest of 9 children and leaves 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Tommy Wright (Sharon), Brenda Kelly, Rita Kelly, Donetta Patterson (Jan), Donelle Wright (Deardra), Charles Wright (Chante) and Richard Williams. She also leaves one son, Christopher Wright and her Grandmother and Aunts and Uncles of Kansas City, Imogene Connor, Jacqueline Sullivan, JoAnn Connor, Larry Connor and Charles Connor. Kim was also blessed with 24 nieces and nephews. Kim also leaves a host of friends and loving members of the Baha’i Community.
Kim graduated from Hickman High School in 1991. She attend Metro Business College, Straun Nursing School, Columbia College and University of Missouri. She obtained her BS in Nursing and practiced nursing at the University of Missouri as an RN. Kimmy, as her family often called her, had a passion of education of young children and suffering of people.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville, burial will be in Sunset hill cemetery in Bunceton.

HE was born March 20, 1964 in Fulton, the son of Thomas Wesley and Bessie Lue Robinson Sr.
Survivors include one daughter Rakeshia Robinson, his companion Michelle Warren, one sister Elaine Saverson, and one brother Thomas Robinson Jr.

James Edward Deller was born on October 14, 1952 in Independence, MO. He died on August 4, 2009 at University Hospital, Columbia, MO. His parents were Charles James Deller and Alice Almata (Sandage) Deller. He graduated from Salisbury High School and attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Almata Silver, his step-father Raymond Silver, three sisters, Debera Smith and husband Paul, Kathie Gelski and partner Mike Campbell, Marlis Moodie and husband Walter, Laura Theerman his soul mate, 5 nephews and 1 niece, 15 grand nieces and nephews, 2 step-sisters, Sally and Susan Hunker and a step-brother, Jack Hunker and a host of good friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Deller, a nephew, Joshua Moodie and a step-father, Reuben Hunker.
A celebration of Life will be held August 16, 2009 at 2pm at Potts Park in Salisbury, Mo., Shelter House # 3.
