Loretta Joyce Small, 70, of Sedalia, answered the call of the Lord on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Ward’s Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Wesley Cemetery in Pilot Grove, Mo. Visitation will be from 1-2 Wednesay at the church.
Joyce Small was born February 17, 1940 in Pilot Grove, Mo., the daughter of Ernest E. Mack and Mary Lee Walker. She was a member of Ward’s Memorial Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Michael Mack of Sedalia, one brother Larry Mack of Boonville, and two sisters Patricia Thompson of Aurora, CO., and Karren Kerr of Indepence, Mo.

Chauncey Edward Jackson Sr., 90, of Moberly, formerly of Salisbury, enterend into eternal rest on Tueday, August 17, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Second Baptist Church in Salisbury. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Chauncey Jackson Sr. was born December 8, 1919 in Dalton, Mo. the son of Cloyd and Mary Woods Jackson. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Dalton Pride # 160 Prince Hall Lodge. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Salisbury. He married Lottie Mae Thompson and she survives of the home.
He also leaves to cherish his memory five sons Chauncey Jackson Jr. and Robert D. Jackson, both of Marshall, Robert Jackson of Kansas City Mo., Ricky Jackson and Darren Jackson both of Aurora CO., three daughters Peggy Lucas of Moberly, Mo., Emma Jean Jackson of Kansas City, Mo., and Diane Hughes of Aurora, CO., three brothers Leroy Jackson of Columbia, and Roman Jackson and Verdell Jackson both of Salisbury, Mo., 13 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Anna Lee Tucker- Freelon, 70, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Columbia died Friday, August 13, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, visitation will be from 11-1 Saturday at the church.
Anna Lee Tucker-Freelon was born June 4, 1940 in Stephens, Mo., Calloway COunty to Roy and Hattie Mae Tucker. Anna was number six of seven children.
Anna was a member of All People’s Missionary Baptist Church. In her early years she was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she worked with the Pastor’s AIde group. Mrs. Anna also worked at the University of Columbia and the Headstart program as Grandma Freelon. Anna was the founder of the COmmunity YOuth Program, TCB ( Taking CAre of Business) in Bloomington, Il.
Anna Lee married John Leroy Freelon and to this union seven children were born; TOny D. Tucker ( Preceded in death) CAreada A. Tucker, Kansas City, Mo., Rhonda N. Tucker Kansas City, Mo., Renee D. Tucker- Rykard( Husband Edward) of Germany, Starletta A. Tucker, St. Louis, Mo., TOry S. Tucker, ATlanta, Ha., and Jeffery L. Tucker of Columbia, Mo. , one sister Mayetta Tucker-Carter( husband Arthur) a Goddaughter Georgia Johnson, 14 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, a special friend Mary Evelyn Hughes.
