Sadie Louise Turner

Sadie Turner, 68, of Sedalia, took flight with the angels on Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Burns Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 Saturday at the church.

  She was born Aug 29, 1942 in Boonville, MO.  Sadie was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Bentley-Hollis, father Floyd Bentley, Sr,, sisters Lula Mae Lester, Sarah Montgomery, Barbara Bentley, Rasheila Bentley, two brothers John Bentley and Floyd Bentley, Jr. and grandson Nathaniel Bentley,

Sadie is survived by her sons Thomas Bentley, Cornelius Bentley and Floyd Bentley all of Sedalia, Mo and  her daughter Carolyn Turner-Dixon (James) of Suitland, MD.
She is also survived by her sisters Martha Goodwin of Sedalia; Nannie Peterson of Lompoc, CA; Cora Dogan (Herman) of Fort Washington, MD; Elizabeth Bentley of Kansas City, KS; and Claudetta Green of Elgin, SC; brothers Charles Bentley of St Louis, MO and Robert Bentley (Sherry) of Belleville, IL.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory 6 aunts and uncles, 23 nieces and nephews, her loving grandchildren Tamika Simms of Sedalia, MO; Angela Townsend of Marietta, GA; Ashley Poindexter of SC; Deondra and Deshante Weaver of Kansas City, MO; Ise’ah Bentley of Columbia, MO; Jamal Brown of Sedalia and host of loving great-grand children and other loving family members and friends.
Sadie Turner was a prominent figure in the community as a representative of the NAACP and active in numerous churches and fund raising activities. She was best known for her kind heart and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
 She retired from Waterloo Industries after 19 years of service.

Estelle Miller

Estelle Miller, 80, of Jefferson City, formerly of Sedalia passed into eternity on Friday, April 15, 2011  at the Villa Marie Nursing Home in Jefferson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, APril 20, 2011 at Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Burial in Crwon Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Alexander-May Funeral Home in Sedalia.

Estelle Miller was born July 6, 1930 in Sedalia the daughter of Jesse Miller and Camille Smith. SHe was a member of the Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Jesse Miller Sr. of Warrensburg, Mo., and Michael White of Jefferson City, Mo., one daughter Julia Miller of Jefferson City, Mo., and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Anita Denise Allen

Anita Allen, 55, of Fayette, slept into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Fayette. Visitation will be from 11-1pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Anita Allen was born July 3, 1955 in Detroit, MI., the daughter of Richard James Allen and Ruth Roland. SHe was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church.  Anita conducted bible study in her home and she was a Fashion Designer and had a Degree in Computer Technology.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Phillip Brinkly and Zachariah Burks both of Fayette, and one step sone Nathaniel Brinkley III of Columbia, Mo., two daughters Chatsubah Castle and Yashima Brinkley both of Fayette, two brothers Richard Allen  of Fayette, and Renard Allen of San Bernadion, CA., one sister Bonita Garcia of San Bernadino, CA., and 5 grandchildren.

Kenneth Blanford

Kenneth Blanford, 45, of Columbia answered the call of the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2011. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia. Visitation will be from 11-1 Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo.

Kenneth Blanford was born December 20, 1965 in Orlando, FL., the son of Fletcher Blanford and Mercedes Witherspoon.  He was a veteran of the US Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Cynthia Blanford of the home, four sons Cortez Thompson, K’Vontae Blanford, Kenneth Blanford and Darian Blanford all of Columbia, one daughter Deja Lopez of Columbia, his mother Mercedes Brooks of Houston Texas, two brothers Anthony Blanford of Houston, Tx  and Acie Emanuel of Kissimme, Fl.and a two sisters Deborah Brown  and Charlene Jaiyeoda both of Houston, TX., a granddaughter Kenadi Blanford and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Gregory Ridgeway

Lewis Patrick

Lewis Patrick, 82, of Fayette, slept into eternity on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at University of Missouri Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Satuday, April 9, 2011 at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Fayette, burial will be in Fayette City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 Saturday at the funeral home.

Lewis Patrick was born September 10, 1928 in Boone County the son of Milton and Myrtle Sexton Patrick. He was married to Flora Patrick and she preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers Floyd Patrick of Fayette, Charles Patrick and Milton Patrick both of Columbia, and one sister Barbara Hester of Boonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.
