Mai D. Hendricks, 81, of Columbia died on Monday, November 28, 2011 at The Neighborhoods by Tiger Place. She was born June 29, 1930 in Shelbyville, TN.
A Service of Remembrance will be held for her on Saturday, December 3, 2011, from 4:00-5:00pm, at Bethel Baptist Church, 201 East Old Plank Rd., Columbia, MO. 65203. Pastor Bonnie Cassida, presiding.

Howard “Booney” Brown Jr., 65, of Sedalia passed into eternity on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm , Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm Tuesday at the church.
Howard Brown was born April 9th, 1946 in Sedalia, MO to Howard William Brown Sr. and Francis Viola Brown.
Howard was a Roofer and devoted father
Howard is survived by one Son Michael Gray of Sedalia, MO; Six daughters, Venora Williams of Kansas City, MO, Lynn Gray of Kansas City, MO, Prandora Gray of Kansas City, MO, Tina Gray of Kansas City, MO, Marva Gray of Kansas City, MO, and Cathy Gray of Kansas City, MO; Three Brothers, Charles Brown of Sedalia, MO, Kenneth Brown of Kansas City, MO, and Wilbur J. Brown of Wichita, KS; and One Sister Kathleen N. Hoskins of Kansas City, MO. Howard Brown leaves to Cherish his memory 29 grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Gwendolyn M. Campbell, 77, of Sedalia answered the call of Jesus on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be held at Burns Chapel in Sedalia, MO on Saturday November 12th, 2011 at 11am. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, and the visitation will be from 10-11am on Saturday morning at the church.

Gwendolyn was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother
Gwendolyn is survived by her daughter Marilyn Campbell of Kansas City, MO , her two sons, Curtis Campbell of Sedalia, and Johnny Campbell of Marshall, and a sister Minnie L Moss of Auburn Hills, MI. Margaret K. Hayes, 68, of Columbia answered the call of Jesus on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 11, 2011 at St. Luke United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 Thursday at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia.
Margaret Kay Hayes was born February 11, 1943 in Columbia the daughter of John and Amanda Williams Hayes.
Kay was a graduate from Hickman High School in 1961. Known to be a music lover, she has an impressive collection of 45 records and albums. She was also an avid fan of Mizzou Women’s Basketball.
She worked for over 25 years for the University of Missouri Health Care System before working for Rusk Rehabilitation. She also worked for the Columbia Housing Authority as a manager at Paquin Towers and Imperial Auto Sales and Details. Kay was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Kay is survived by her daughter Rhea Dawn Brown, her son Michael(Toni) Hayes, four grandchildren Stephanie Brown, Tiffany Brown, John Hayes and Michaela Hayes, and one great grandchild DaZarrien Brown all of Columbia, Mo. She is also survived by four brothers Carl “Jack” Hayes of Wichita, KS., and his special friend Geraldine Morris, Clarence(Vonnia) Hayes of Las Vegas, NV., Rev. Raymond(Celestine) Hayes, and William (Cornelia) Hayes both of Columbia, four sisters Clara Pauline(James) Harris of Peoria, IL., Evelyn Lee, Phyllis(John) Williams, and Jewell Bentley all of Columbia, Mo., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved cousin and best friend Julia Estes. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Kay was preceded in death by her mother and father, and also her sister Julie Carol Hayes
Clara ” Baby Sis” Thomas

Clara Elizabeth Thomas (affectionately known as “Baby Sis”) departed this life on November 1, 2011 and leaves to cherish in her memory-Eileen Bowens(Daughter) and Joseph Thomas -Jr.(son). She also leaves to cherish two grandsons; James Thomas(Kerie) and John Thomas as well as three wonderful great-grandchildren; Jayden Thomas, Kennedy Thomas, Kole Thomas , and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Clara graduated from David H. Hickman Senior High School in May of 1955. Upon graduation she was employed by the United States Postal Services. Sue to her love for education, she continued and received her advanced degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri. In addition to her degree , Clara was awarded a Life Teaching Certificate.
Clara’s beloved legacy will be remebered by brothers (William Ballenger and Whitman ” Maurice” Ballenger) and sisters (Brenda Stevenson, Winifred P. Hill, and Gwyndolyn F. Ballenger).
Clara was preceded in death by husband(Joseph Thomas-Sr.) both parents (Williams and Clara Ballinger), two brothers(Roland and William Ballenger-Jr) and son (Gregory D. Thomas).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 7, 2011 at Second Missionary Baptist Church,burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 AM Monday at th church.
