The Bible teaches that death is the destiny of us all, but it is never easy to accept when it is the death of someone you love. Our hope is that when that loved one is in Christ, he has merely passed over from death to life.
Billy will be missed, but our hope is that he is resting in a better place. I will miss his kidding me about how slow I moved when we worked together, so many years ago.
May God grant you peace and fond memories in your grief.
to the marshal family my prayers go out to each and every one,may god bless.
To the Marshall Family I would like to express my deepest sympathy for your family. May God Bless You and keep you.

My heart and condolances go out to Billy Joe’s family. Just thought I’d share a good memory with you. I worked with Billy Joe at the University Hospital Warehouse from 1983-1989. He was the shipping/receiving supervisor. He was a joy to work with and such a dedicated worker. I remember one day I had “spring fever” and said it out loud. Billy Joe told me to go ahead and take off. I, thinking he was kidding, said something silly and he said, “Go now before I change my mind.” He completely understood and made my day. He made many of my days while I worked with him. We’ve had several reunions over the years and I’ll always treasure his memory. I know you, his family, have many, many wonderful memories to treasure as well.
Sincerely, Lora Baker

To the family of Billy Joe, I was sad to hear of the death of Billy Joe, I always enjoyed talking with him on my visits to Columbia, the best thing I can say about Billy Joe, is that he was a good man, and that says it all.

I had this photo for about a day breofe I came up with something that interested me.I’ve been reading this great article in the “New Yorker” about Danalynn Recer, who is a mitigation specialist – she helps pull together biographical and other information to help convicted murderers avoid the death penalty as part of the Supreme Court-mandated process. .Some of the information in this story is actually factual, for a change. The building that Billy is in during the story was the literal building for the gas chamber. Thanks for reading. And, again, thanks to for his great image.
