Cleophas Cobbins

scan0004Cleophas Cobbins, 79, of Columbia, died Friday, December 18, 2009 at Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Raymond Hayes officiating. Burial will be Monday, December 28, 2009 at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo. Visitation will be from 12-1 Saturday at the church.

Cleophas Cobbins was born June 30, 1930 in Greenwood, MI., the son of Louis and Evalene Cobbins. He was a veteran of the US Army.

Survivors include one son Larry Cobbins of Atlanta, GA., three sisters Eartha Bridgeford of Columbia, Edna Cargile of Grand Rapids, MI., and Mildred Williams of Indianapolis, IN., and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister Earnestine Maxie and his parents.

    i miss my uncle dearly. this still seems so unreal. I’m hurt I’m in pain. tears fill my eyes as I’m writing this, I try and look at the fact that he is no long suffering and in pain. Maybe i am being a little selfish but I just wish you were here uncle Cleo I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! i know your in a better place and truly are a angel looking down on us. I LOVE U ALWAYS, AND YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED. I feel as if you were taken from us to soon. feels like it wasn’t your time but I know your not hurting. I know we will meet again I LOVE YOU UNCLE CLEO

    im very sorry to hear about cleo, he was a friend of mines i will miss him. To the family all the cobbins im praying for you all. Also alot of you know me as neccy, johneen aunt,anyway remember god knowes best,he wanted cleo with him, again sorry for your lose god bless you all.

    Today I just found out that my dear friend Cleo passed away, I am very sad that I did not keep watch over him after I moved, God forgive me. I will miss his bright humer and his smile, and I give my condolences to the cobbins family in their loss of a wonderfull man.
