I have known Clifton since 1963, so I guess I met him when he was 37 and I was 18. I worked with him at Ward & Sublett's Lake of the Woods Shell and never knew him by anything other than the name "Friday." I put him right up there with some of the greatest people I have ever known. Friday loved life, he was always happy and always smilin'. He always brought a smile to my face just to run into him, as I did, it seems like, only a few months ago and we visited over lunch. Over the last 15 years I have always run into Friday at the Business Loop McDonald's. We always took the time to have a visit and talk about Columbia and the people we knew. I will miss him deeply and stoppin' for a coffee at McDonalds will never be the same, as I always thought I might run into my ol' buddy "Friday" if I stopped there. “Rest in peace, Clifton, I love ya' man!” I extend my deepest sympathy to all of Clifton’s family and friends.
