Aunt Etta, I’ll always cherish the moments we spent together and fondly recall that no matter what was weighing on my heart or mind, you would pause to help me make the right decision. You always welcomed me into your home and treated me not only as your nephew, but as a son. I will always love you and you will be sorely missed. Howard (Little Bo)

To The Family of Etta Carter. I am very sorry for your loss. One day you and your family will see Mrs. Carter again. Jehovah God makes that promise to you at John 5:28,29 and it says “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus] voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurreciton of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” So Mrs. Carter will hear Jesus Christ voice and will be awaken and come out of her memorial tomb. There is another wonderful promise Jehovah God makes to us at Revelation 21:4 “and he [Jehovah] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Jehovah will wipe the tears from yours and all the world of mankind’s death will be gone forever, mourning, pain and any other sufferings that you and I have to endure. That is such a wonderful promise. Mrs. Carter had special mightiness because she lived to be 84 years old. Psalms 90:10 talks about that. I do hope that these words were of comfort to your family. May Jehovah God strenghten you during this time.

Immediate Arrangements

Many decisions must be made when you lose a loved one, and we offer caring and professional support to guide you through that process while you grieve. Please call our Columbia office at 573.443.2273 (or the H.T. May & Son Funeral Home location nearest you) to speak in person with a trained funeral director.

Funeral Pre-Planning
