Evelyn Washington, 87, of Marshall died Monday, September 28, 2009 at St. Luke Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Visitation wil lbe from 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Evelyn Was born April 15, 1922 in Miami, Mo. the daughter of Jerry Allen and Virgie Jacques. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir, the Mother Board and the WMU. She was also a part of the Foster Grandparents program.
Survivors include her daughter Ruby Hayes and her husband Fred Hayes Sr., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild and one sister Angie Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents 2 brothers and one sister.

My deepest condolences to the family of Sis Washington. I have fond memories of her teaching me in Sunday School and singing in the choir. I will be praying for you all. God Bless.
Evelyn was such a lovely lady. The years we spent together in the Kindergarten classroom will always be treasured. She was so good to everyone and the kids loved her. She was always so helpful and I cherish every thought of her.
Our prayers are with you and all of your family.
Iwill miss her very much I was mrs washingtons nurse while she was at mar-saline manor. I helped her walk to heaven. She was a very stronged will lady and sometimes stubbrened B ut i loved her all the same . She was a wonderful lady and will be missed by all of us god bless and i will see u there . her daughter was a great lady also . dont forget us love pat
Evelyn was indeed a very special lady, I worked with her for many years at the old Fitzgibbon Hospital.

Your mother was such a wonderful woman. I worked with her for many years at the old Fitzgibbon..she was a hard worker, kind and an inspiration to all who worked around her. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
