I met President Trass recently when he was a patient in our ICU. It was my pleasure to be one of the nurses caring for him. He was delightful to visit with, friendly with a good sense of humor despite his hospitalization. I was sad to hear the news of his death. I know he has touched many lives over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I met President Trass decades ago during his work at Christian/Columbia College. A military brat myself, I found him admirable and delightful. When I read of his accomplishments, I am not surprised, but I am impressed.

He even appeared in a 3-minute film I made; he was good, but the film was not. I have enjoyed seeing him over the intervening years and will miss those chance encounters.
