My heart is broken for you in losing our dear Zelma so early. She was a dear friend to both my late husband Delbert and myself for many years. Her sweet spirit never failed to reflect her love for her heavenly father and i know she and Del are rejoicing together this day, just waiting for the rest of us to catch up. She was so strong, never complaining when i know she was in pain. Always concerned for the lives of others, and such a positive example. My prayers will be with you in the days to come as i know what this loss is like....Read Isaiah 57.1-3. It is a comfort to us that have lost a devout and righteous loved one. Blessings to you all.
David and Mary Belle,

Uncle Jim notified me of Zelma's passing and I'm sorry that I couldn't make it home to the funeral but have no doubt that you are in my thoughts and prayers. The Lord will see you through if you just put your hand in his and hold on. May God bless you at this difficult time.

Love,

Dear David,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Zelma. I met you and Zelma when I came to Columbia for the funeral of my Uncle Archie Smith. Upon meeting and talking with Zelma I felt as if I had known her for years. She was so friendly, kind and compassionate and so lovingly dedicated to her sister, my Aunt Marybelle. Over the past three years Zelma contacted me by letter or by telephone to let me know how things were going. I really appreciated that.
When I spoke to you both this past January I had no idea that that would be the last time we would speak to each other. I am really glad I called then and had the opportunity to let Zelma know how much she was thought of and appreciated.
I am sorry that I was not able to attend the funeral, but I wanted you to know that you and your family were in my thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow and loss. May you be comforted in knowing that Zelma Pearl Williams was a very special person who touched my life in the few years that I had the wonderful experience of knowing and communicating with her. God bless and comfort you all.
Sincerely,
Robert Gibson

David, Dallas and Mary Belle

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of your family. I consider myself blessed to have been counted as one of Zelma's many friends. At times, she seemed more like family to me. Her sweet smile and soft voice are imprinted in my memory. We had some wonderful and unforgetable times together that I will cherish forever. I love you Zelma !

David:
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I enjoyed working with you at Square D for several years and remember some of the wonderful things you'd tell about Zelma. She will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Dear David and Dallas

I am so sorry to hear about Zelma. What a tremendous loss this will be to you and to all who knew her. Zelma will always remain in my heart as a special friend.

She was my manicurist for many years and a friend for longer than that. We shared our lives almost weekly as we sat across the table from each other. There came a time when I did not really need the manicures but needed the talk and pampering by Zelma. I always felt it was worth more than expensive therapy. Zelma exuded peace and love and all good things. She was a joy to be around, and I admired her greatly. It was a sad day when she retired and now a much sadder day when she is not with us.

In recent years, we talked on the phone occasionally, and the true happiness when she talked about her granddaughters was wonderful to hear. She enjoyed them so much.

She was an angel on earth and will certainly be one in Heaven.

I am thinking about you and the entire family.
